Informer CCTV cameras utilise the very best branded technology where it counts. The CCD and DSP sections are from major manufacturers i.e. LG, Sony, Samsung etc. It is our opinion that the design of the enclosure, whilst important, is less critical then the design of the camera module.
 The very latest CCTV camera modules, (as deployed in our high end cameras) are now able to offer unparalleled levels of image quality, vehicle number plate recognition and industry leading low light performance. The Informer 1600 provides 600tvl horizontal resolution, is supplied with 60 metre range infrared LED illumination, has a choice of 3 infra red corrected vary focal lenses and operates down to 0.00004 Lux (Starlight illumination is 0.001 Lux).
In the 1000 series, Informer have spent the budget on the camera and lens, choosing the incredible Sony ICX-639AK 1/3" CCD and allying this to the world leading Samsung SDB-45 DSP (digital signal processor). The lens is supplied from Korea, designed to compliment the camera module, infrared correction is standard (also known as APO or apochromatically corrected), available as either 3.8-9.5mm, 9-22mm or 6-50mm varifocal (allows lens field of view to be adjusted during commissioning for best angle).
