Link Net

Link Net Link Net Networked Access Control Solution

Simplistic reliability

Link Net

Link.net provides a comprehensive access control management system, including hardware and software solutions to allow the reading of all standard access control technologies, plus the ability to handle biometric fingerprint verification and identification.

Comprehensive access control features such as access levels, time zones and door status monitoring are all standard, and are complimented by more features such as “who’s on site & where”, alarm handling and a modular “plug & play” system architecture.

Most electronic access control security equipment utilises a dedicated low cost cabling infrastructure to provide the communication backbone for the information technology side.

Link.net is no exception, however, it can also support all or part of its security hardware connected into existing building LAN/WAN infrastructures.

Link.net IP facilitates a lower install cost as Link.net access control hardware makes use of existing IT structured cabling systems, hubs and bridges. Additionally, using this method you are not limited by distance, location, building or even country.

A true global enterprise solution can be achieved utilising Link.net’s IP connectible range of products.

This method of installing Link.net reduces labour costs drastically, and with the TCP/IP interface built on to the access controller board, you are sure to be extremely competitive when specifying this option.

Both the traditional ‘hard-wire’ and IP versions of Link.net accept the full range of CDVI readers, including proximity, long-range, smart and biometric. The system is also able to connect 3rd party reading technologies if required.

Link.net’s architecture is built in a modular fashion. Each controller will accept 2 readers, designated as 1 door with in/out readers, or 2 doors read in/exit button out. The system employs distributed intelligence, therefore each controller can work independently whether communicating with the host or not - ensuring that there is no compromise in the system’s integrity in the event of a communications failure. With plug & play technology, and a proven communications technology, Link.net provides a comprehensive and stable system with the minimum of fuss. Link.net uses USB technology to connect to a PC, eliminating the requirement of a dedicated RS-232 port.

Link.net provides a comprehensive access control management system, including hardware and software solutions to allow the reading of all popular technologies, including proximity, magnetic stripe & biometric fingerprint verification and identification.

Features such as access levels, time zones and door status monitoring are all standard, and are complimented by more features such as "who's on site & where reporting ", alarm handling and a modular "plug & play" system architecture.

Personnel Time Management

Personnel Time Management permits the calculation of time spent on site or in a specific location over a chosen period. Reports can be produced by department or for individuals. Simple summaries or more comprehensive reports can be produced.Time clockings can be gained from access controlled doors or dedicated clocking readers around a building. Data can be viewed, printed or exported to applications such as Microsoft™ Excel for further processing..

LT-20 AC & IP Controllers

The LT-20AC controller is a totally intelligent device, supporting 2 readers either configured as 1 door with readers in & out, or as 2 doors with reader in and exit button out. The controllers are supplied in a large 2 amp boxed power supply, to power the controller and locking device(s). Up to 64 controllers may be connected together on 1  network, via a 4-wire RS485 communications protocol utilising low cost cabling.

The LT-20IP controller has the same specification as the LT-20AC, except it
connects to a Local Area Network (LAN) or Wider Area Network (WAN). It also includes a wired repeater, which allows for traditional hard-wired controllers to be connected to provide a fully flexible system architecture.

Evacuation Control & Roll Call

In the case of an emergency

A list of all personnel currently on site is available

Extracted from a fast accurate report produced manually or automatically in conjunction with the fire alarm or from an automatic emergency evacuation activation.

Photo ID Baging

Link.net additionally supports the production of simple Photo ID Badges adding additional graphical security identification of the owner.

Cardholder images and information can be printed on labels or PVC access control cards directly with the appropriate printer.  Images are captured in JPEG or Bitmap form, from any low cost digital stills camera. Department information and company logo’s can also be incorporated into the design. ID badges are simple and quick to produce with an image of the finished look available on screen prior to printing. New badges and used badges can be printed and recalled at will.

With the use of a Dye Sublimation plastic card printer ID images and text can be printed directly on plain white PVC proximity or magnetic stripe access control cards.

Dye Sublimation Printers are available in monochrome or full colour.  Images are crisp and recognisable using this high resolution print method. Link.net supports all major brands of plastic ID card printers and media.
