NB: Whilst this detector has technology allowing it to discriminate between a human and an animal (up to 40lbs) it may be triggered by animals in certain circumstances - avoid locating the unit above an door which you intend to leave open, an animal pushing the door will signal an alarm - avoid locating the unit above units where animals may climb as the unit will be triggered by an animal in close proximity, a 5lb cat will appear to be a 50 - 100lb animal at a range of 18inches
