All MICROgarde® controllers are supplied complete with MICROgarde® access management PC software at no additional cost.

The MICROgarde® software suite is an extremely user-friendly and intuitive package that provides a wealth of access control functionality in addition to some innovative and very useful features.

Following Microsoft Windows® convention ensures that you feel immediately at home and can familiarise yourself with the controls in a matter of minutes.

This also minimises the need for any specialist training saving you both time and money.
Based around the trusted Microsoft SQL Express database engine, MICROgarde® software provides integration capabilities through the Application Programming Interface (API).

Additionally, MICROgarde® allows you to interface to Fire and Intruder panels straight out of the box without the need to purchase any additional software modules or licences.

• MICROgarde® software is easy to install and use for the control of both MICROgarde® I and MICROgarde® II access control units
• MICROgarde® software can be used to manage between 1 and 200 controllers

• A getting started feature takes you through a step-by-step process from successfully bringing the first controller on-line to validating the first card
• Included is a Controller Wizard that automatically detects and guides you through the setup of controllers greatly reducing commissioning time
• MICROgarde® controllers can be connected to serial ports, TCP/IP ports or a combination of both providing maximum flexibility
• Full context-sensitive help provides you with concise information precisely when you need it
• Anti-passback and man trap (interlock) features of the controller are fully supported
• Fire door release feature allows the interfacing of the MICROgarde® system to a fire panel. Release selected doors in the event of the fire alarm being activated
• An enrolment reader feature allows you to specify any reader in the system on which cards can be enrolled. Removes the need to purchase a separate enrolment reader thereby saving you money
• Dual custody feature requiring at least two people to present their card is ideal for higher security applications or areas
• Automatic card expiry increases security and also is useful in visitor and club applications.

Graphical User Interface

MICROgarde provides an extremely easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI).

Upon starting the software for the first time, a Getting Started wizard assists in the setting up of the system for simple commissioning.

MICROgarde presents the user with a display of real-time events allowing quick viewing of live system activity.

Logging-in is a straightforward process and gives access to all of the administration functions of the software.

Controllers

Upon connecting a controller to the network, it is immediately detected by the software which guides the user through it’s configuration.

A listing of controllers gives an instant view of the controller names and status allowing the user to quickly identify those that are online or offline.

Cards

MICROgarde allows the configuration enrolment readers, meaning that any of the readers within the access control system can be used to add a card number to the database, without the need to type it in saving time and eliminating
errors.

A list of all of the cards in the system showing who it is issued to, its status and when it was last used provides immediate and accurate information.

Keyholder

Adding keyholders and issuing them with a card takes seconds. Simply enter the keyholders name, pick the access group to which they are to belong, enter the key number (or present the card to a configured enrolment reader) and click
on Update. It really is as simple as that.

Additional configurable information fields provide a means of recording more data against each keyholder.
